Don’t forget that place in you that brings you your truest happiness. It is from there you will find your riches, whatever they might be. If you’re off the path, find your way back on. It’s as simple as those things that make your heart light up. We’ve all known people who take perverse joy in sharing with you things others have said about you, in an effort to bring you down. Don’t be one of them. Lift up instead. When you lose your-self in the effort of another, it’s right there that you gain. Yours might be the only kind word they hear today. And, you’re golden. The hardest part is the getting started. Focus on the smallest things that you can handle. A thousand headlines will tempt you to click, all calling to your lower nature of insecurity and gossip. Ignore them. You can feel the subtle pulling down inside you. Go up instead. It’s where you were made to be – with all your gifts! If they’re not being used, employ them. If it feels too big, start with the smallest things again. Use your heart as a compass. It will tell you when you’re getting warmer. Follow your heart, and not your mind, unless you’ve mastered it beyond question. Your heart is your friend, but your mind will lead you off, down paths of worry and anxiety. The real you resides deeper within. It’s the quietest part. It will never yell at you or shame. It expresses in the softest whisper, and yet it’s the part that compels you into action without your even thinking in emergency. This is your true friend beneath the muddle above. Take a moment to breathe and listen quietly to it. You might connect to it without even a word. And feel renewed again. You’re beautiful beyond words as it is. You were made to be in your greatness, not in worry or self doubting. Give it away. To God, or through kindness to another. You’ll find they’re the same thing. You belong here up above.
